Financial Control & Accounting (FCA) is a part of Group Finance with the responsibility to secure that financial performance is correctly reflected for Business Areas, Truck Divisions, Group Functions and legal entities. FCA also provides local tax administration and compliance as well as global shared services through delivery centers in Accounting Services with quality focused and process efficient service deliveries. We are approximately 1.400 employees with a global footprint in 50+ countries closely integrated with local business operations. What you will do
If you are passionate about accounting, digitalization, working in project and are looking for the next professional step in a global environment, you may be our new Chief Accountant & Financial Controller Consolidation for Volvo Energy AB and Volvo Energy.
The role as Financial Controller Consolidation for Volvo Energy will have 2 major areas to focus on; one is the consolidation of Volvo Energy and the other will be the implementation of Elvira which is a major project to implement a cloud-based Master Finance platform within Volvo Group. In the position you will work with the consolidated operating income, operating capital and guide legal companies in their financial reporting process. In the role as Chief Accountant you are responsible for complete financial compliance for the legal company of Volvo Energy AB.
The position is based in Lundby, Gothenburg in the building CAMP X. You will work closely together with Business Control, Group Accounting, IT and other functions within Volvo Energy which will give you a broad understanding of the business and the operation.
In this role you will also be part of the GTT, VAS & VE accounting team at FCA and together with your team secure correct global as well as local accounting from both external as well as internal perspectives. You will drive and develop accounting and financial reporting processes for Volvo Energy, in close co-operation with Group Accounting and the CFO/Chief Controller function to secure proper and accurate closings. One key success factor, besides having a passion for accounting, is that you are a true team player and have good networking skills.

Of course, you have an owner mentality when it comes to analyzing the income statement and balance sheet for Volvo Energy.
Experience from multi-cultural and global finance operations is a plus. You need to be proficient in accounting and preferably also in consolidation as well as experience from working in projects.
Qualifications
University degree in Business Administration or similar education
Minimum 5 years of advanced experience in the field of accounting. Experience from Big 4 is a plus.
Experience from major projects in the finance community
Willingness to drive harmonization and standardization of accounting processes
Ability to lead the financial reporting activities and deliver financial analysis of closing outcome
Enjoy functional leadership, working in teams and contributing to a positive atmosphere
Interest in developing accounting/financial processes with new technology
Fully proficient in written and spoken Swedish and English. No exceptions.
Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
