The TeamThe Product Development team picks up where the Sales team leaves off, collaborating closely with clients to transform innovative ideas into tangible products ready for production. Our mission is to ensure that we meet client expectations in the proof of concept and prototype production phase.
With nearly 40 team members, including Product Managers, CAD Engineers, and Process Design Engineers, our team closely collaborates and exchanges expertise. We enable a culture of innovation where your contributions will impact our success.
The roleAs a Senior Product Manager, your primary responsibility is to develop customized products from the ground up in collaboration with our customers and with Silex’s Process Engineers. You will guide our customers through the product set up phase and early production, ensuring that their vision is realized while setting up the necessary processes for production. This journey can span from a few months to several years going through a concept phase and then a prototype phase. The products will later be used in industries like Telecom, Life Science & Medical, Industrial & Automotive and Consumer Devices.
In this role, you will blend project management skills with your technical expertise to navigate the product development process effectively. When processing of the prototypes starts, you will typically spend a part of your day in our cleanroom, or collaborating and coordinating the inspections and analysis of the wafers with a more junior colleague.
You will report to one of our Group Managers within Product Development and work closely together with different roles within Silex as well as externally towards the customer. To ensure your success, you will receive introductory training by a seasoned colleague, allowing you to gain valuable insights into our approach to product development at Silex.
